2019 Review

2019 was another brilliant year. The privilege to witness the biggest day of people’s lives and document it for prosperity is a real honour, and it never gets old. A huge thank you to all my amazing couples who tied the knot in 2019. You all trusted me to capture and preserve your memories and I’m eternally grateful.

It’s been another year with real variety. I love shooting different kinds of weddings, from small to big, rural to urban, it really keeps the job interesting and creatively it keeps me on my toes.

This year has been a year of unusual arrivals. Horse, helicopter, boat and a 100 year old farm trailer being pulled by a 60 year old tractor have all led to some great moments. I’ve been to beautiful countryside settings and bustling urban environments. I’ve been burnt in 38 degree heat and frozen on wet and windy days. I’ve been back to the Lake District where it rained for 10 hours straight in the middle of July (maybe one day I will shoot up in the Lakes in the sunshine!) and I’ve been back into central London where I took an Uber with the happy couple between the ceremony and reception. This mirrored nicely with a wedding in 2018 where I took the underground with a couple between venues. I’m looking forward to making it a trio of interesting London journeys mid-wedding this coming year on a boat down the Thames.

I loved every moment of 2019 and I can’t wait to get stuck into my 2020 wedding season.
