The visual experience of an Indian wedding is unlike any other marriage celebration. The colours are vivid, the timeline is dynamic and the music and atmosphere are larger than life. The Baraat is one of my favourite traditions to photograph from any culture. It kicks the day off with a bang and gets people involved early on meaning lots of key members of each family are photographed during both the procession and the Milni where the garlands are exchanged. From then on the moments keep coming at pace and each one offers something new and every image feels bold and alive. Perfect for a photographer who loves colour and moments!
You can check out images from various Indian wedding ceremonies below, these are a mix of Hindu, Sikh, and fusion weddings.
