HIGH BILLINGHURST FARM

I was really excited to shoot Katherine & Sam’s High Billinghurst Farm wedding. I’d been looking forward to discovering this brilliant Sussex venue and it didn’t disappoint. Tucked away in the countryside with rolling views, rustic barns and plenty of open space, High Billinghurst Farm is perfect for couples who want a laid-back celebration surrounded by nature. It’s exactly the kind of setting that allows a wedding day to unfold naturally, which suits the way I love to photograph – documenting real moments as they happen rather than orchestrating them.

The weather was warm and dry for November which meant for the drinks reception we we’re able to make the most of the farm’s relaxed outdoor feel before heading into the barn for the meal & party. One of the strengths of High Billinghurst Farm is how flexible it is. Couples can really make the space their own, whether that’s an outdoor ceremony with countryside views or a cosy barn set-up filled with personal touches. Katherine & Sam did just that, creating a day that felt completely true to them from start to finish.

Another thing that makes High Billinghurst Farm such a great wedding venue is the freedom it gives you. With exclusive use of the site, there’s no sense of being hurried along or squeezed into a tight schedule. The flow of the day feels easy and unforced, which makes a huge difference — not just for the couple, but for their guests too. From relaxed drinks outside to golden hour portraits in the surrounding fields, there’s so much variety without ever having to stray far.
